Electric and hybrid-electric propulsion research for aircraft is accelerating. Our panel will tackle the larger question: What will this research enable? There are many future discoveries that can be foreseen such as vertical take-off, urban transport, zero-emissions regional travel and energy-efficient airliners. However, electric aircraft may also prove to be a dead-end for aviation.
